Terms of Service
Version: September 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Workout Lock, the Workout Lock iOS and Android application, website, and related services (together, the "Service").
Workout Lock the Service is provided by the owner of Workout Lock ("Workout Lock", "we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, purchasing, accessing, or using Workout Lock, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About Workout Lock
Workout Lock is an iOS application designed to help users complete workouts with fewer digital distractions.
The app may use Apple's Screen Time technologies, including Family Controls, Managed Settings, and related APIs, to temporarily restrict access to applications or categories selected by you during a workout.
Workout Lock is a productivity tool. It does not provide medical, fitness, health, or other professional advice.
2. Eligibility
Workout Lock is not directed to children under 13.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Workout Lock only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Screen Time and App Blocking
Workout Lock depends partly on technologies and permissions provided by Apple.
You understand that:
- blocking functionality may depend on your device, iOS version, permissions, and Apple's APIs;
- Apple may change, restrict, or discontinue APIs on which Workout Lock depends;
- blocking may occasionally fail, be interrupted, or behave differently following operating-system updates or technical failures;
- you remain responsible for your device and for deciding which applications to restrict.
Workout Lock should not be relied upon for emergency, safety-critical, medical, or other situations in which access to an application or information must be guaranteed.
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
Workout Lock may offer Weekly, Monthly, Annual, Lifetime, or other purchase options shown in the App.
All purchases made through the iOS application are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's payment terms and policies also apply.
We do not directly process or store your credit-card details.
5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
Weekly, Monthly, and Annual plans are auto-renewable subscriptions.
The price, billing period, any introductory offer or free trial, and the amount charged after a trial are displayed before purchase.
Unless cancelled, an auto-renewable subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period and Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple Account.
Apple may process renewal charges shortly before the current subscription period expires.
6. Free Trials
Where Workout Lock offers a free trial, the duration of the trial and the price that will be charged after the trial are displayed before you subscribe.
Unless you cancel in time under Apple's subscription rules, the trial will automatically convert into the selected paid subscription.
Apple recommends cancelling a free or discounted trial at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want it to renew.
7. What "Cancel Anytime" Means
Where Workout Lock states that a subscription can be cancelled at any time, this means that you may instruct Apple at any time to stop future automatic renewal of your subscription.
Workout Lock does not impose an additional cancellation period, approval process, or cancellation fee.
Once Apple records the cancellation, the subscription will no longer renew at the applicable future renewal date.
Cancellation does not retroactively cancel a period that has already been paid for and does not automatically return funds already paid.
You remain entitled to use Workout Lock until the end of the subscription period that your payment covers.
After that period expires, paid access ends unless you subscribe again.
If Apple has already processed a renewal before your cancellation is recorded, that renewal may still apply.
8. How to Cancel a Subscription
On iPhone, you can normally cancel Workout Lock as follows:
Open iOS Settings
→ tap your Apple Account / name
→ tap Subscriptions
→ select Workout Lock
→ tap Cancel Subscription
Apple controls the subscription-management and cancellation process. The exact wording or steps may vary by iOS version, country, or region.
9. Refunds
Cancelling a subscription does not by itself create a right to a refund for time already paid for.
Purchases made through the App Store are processed by Apple. Refund requests for those purchases are generally handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or other consumer right that cannot legally be limited.
10. Lifetime Access
Workout Lock may offer a one-time "Lifetime" or "Lifetime Access" purchase.
"Lifetime" means access to Workout Lock for as long as Workout Lock remains commercially available and operational. It does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser. If Workout Lock is permanently discontinued, access ends, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
11. Changes to Plans, Prices, and Features
We may change the features, design, availability, or pricing of Workout Lock over time.
Changes to subscription pricing are also subject to Apple's applicable rules and notices.
For an already-paid subscription period, we will provide the paid access promised for that period, subject to technical limitations and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
You should review these Terms again before a new subscription period begins, and in any event before the time by which you must cancel in order to prevent automatic renewal.
If you do not agree to the then-current Terms, or to any change in plans, prices, or features, you should cancel your subscription before the current period expires. Once a new period has begun, cancellation does not reverse that period.
Nothing in this section affects mandatory consumer rights.
12. Acceptable Use
You may use Workout Lock only for lawful, personal purposes.
You may not intentionally:
- interfere with or damage the Service;
- attempt unauthorized access to our systems;
- exploit the Service for unlawful purposes;
- reverse engineer or modify Workout Lock except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use the Service in a way that infringes another person's rights.
13. Intellectual Property
Workout Lock, its software, design, branding, graphics, text, and other original materials are owned by Workout Lock and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Workout Lock in accordance with these Terms and Apple's applicable App Store usage rules.
Your license to the iOS application is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless another applicable agreement expressly replaces it.
14. Third-Party Services
Workout Lock relies on services and technologies provided by third parties, including Apple.
Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, or failures of third-party services outside our reasonable control.
15. Availability and Disclaimer
We aim to keep Workout Lock reliable and available, but no software service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption or error.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Workout Lock is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- Workout Lock will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
- Apple's Screen Time APIs will always operate in the same way;
- blocking will be impossible to bypass;
- every device or future iOS version will remain compatible;
- using Workout Lock will produce a particular workout, productivity, fitness, or personal outcome.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from use of, or inability to use, Workout Lock.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or terminate access to the Service if you materially violate these Terms, engage in fraud or unlawful activity, compromise the security of the Service, or where continued access is legally or technically impossible.
You may stop using Workout Lock at any time.
Deleting Workout Lock does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple as described above.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, applicable law, or our business practices change.
Continued use of Workout Lock after revised Terms become effective means the revised Terms apply to your continued use, subject to applicable law.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply under the laws of your country of residence.
Nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring a claim before a court or other authority where applicable consumer law gives you that right.
